How to wear your favorite statement boots without looking like a “HO HO HO”

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Suede Santa would surely be jealous of….

Furs to keep you festive…

Designers that will help you deck the halls…

In order to be able to wear my six inch heeled boots without looking too risqué I combine the right lengths.

  • Do look for skirts that flow and are mid-thigh or knee length. Any shorter and Santa might put you on the naughty list.
  • Do wear stockings to provide a sleeker more sophisticated look.
  • Keep away from short and tight with a high statement boot if you are trying to remain looking classy.
  • Try a hairstyle that doesn’t take too much attention off the outfit. Fur and suede boots are attention grabbers. Take your hair off your pretty face to really make your outfit pop! I am using a low bun for this purpose.

Why my quarter life crisis, AKA hitting the big 2-5 is not making me swoon in the month of June. (Please save all grunts and moans about my over emphasis on 25.)

1. I no longer have my birthday planned out months prior. I remember a time when I put more preparation in my birthday dress then some brides do in a wedding gown. Sad? I think not, I would rather label myself as being very prepared for any possible outcome. The outcome of course is not having a “fugly” dress at my once a year celebration.
2. My only child syndrome now just looks like I’m being antisocial. There was a point in my life where hanging out with my dog and a box of skinny cow ice cream was just me unwinding and being an only child. I mean since every girl has been quoting Marilyn Monroe since age 12, let’s be real remember when she said, “when I’m alone I restore myself.” Or how about Hepburn saying, “I don’t want to be alone, I want to be left alone.” Pretty sure that describes me to a T.
3. Netflix seems more fun then nightclubs. Is it just me or does the sound of going out make anyone else actually tired sometimes? I would rather binge on Orange is the New Black season two. Sorry not sorry…
4. Getting your nails done is now a chore. Recently brought to my attention by one of my best babes, was the impeccable hearing of those nail artists-they are ALWAYS listening.

So fellow fashionistas and babes in a quarter life crisis hang on tight, but if something happens just blame it on your quarter life chaos. FYI some people who hit a midlife crisis are known to buy cars and go on shopping sprees. I may or may not be considering adding this to my to do list but until then check out this sundress from Aritzia that comes in multiple colors it is AMAZING!

Wicked Wednesday

The temperature is dropping in the city and I am sure that’s no surprise to anyone living around here! Bundled up for work I chose to wear: Aritzia dress pants, Jcrew pumps, and a Burberry puffer jacket to keep me warm! Fighting the frostbite today bloggers!

Who can have the Monday blues with this holiday look!

Perfect for the workday! Today I am wearing: Chanel 3 bag, Louis Vuitton scarf, BCBG suede blazer, Aritzia leggings, and Christian Louboutin leather boots. Adding a statement scarf and light jacket can make any ordinary outfit on Monday seem better! (Not to mention there is nothing a holiday latte from Starbucks can’t help) Enjoy your Monday’s bloggers!
