Why my quarter life crisis, AKA hitting the big 2-5 is not making me swoon in the month of June. (Please save all grunts and moans about my over emphasis on 25.)
1. I no longer have my birthday planned out months prior. I remember a time when I put more preparation in my birthday dress then some brides do in a wedding gown. Sad? I think not, I would rather label myself as being very prepared for any possible outcome. The outcome of course is not having a “fugly” dress at my once a year celebration.
2. My only child syndrome now just looks like I’m being antisocial. There was a point in my life where hanging out with my dog and a box of skinny cow ice cream was just me unwinding and being an only child. I mean since every girl has been quoting Marilyn Monroe since age 12, let’s be real remember when she said, “when I’m alone I restore myself.” Or how about Hepburn saying, “I don’t want to be alone, I want to be left alone.” Pretty sure that describes me to a T.
3. Netflix seems more fun then nightclubs. Is it just me or does the sound of going out make anyone else actually tired sometimes? I would rather binge on Orange is the New Black season two. Sorry not sorry…
4. Getting your nails done is now a chore. Recently brought to my attention by one of my best babes, was the impeccable hearing of those nail artists-they are ALWAYS listening.
So fellow fashionistas and babes in a quarter life crisis hang on tight, but if something happens just blame it on your quarter life chaos. FYI some people who hit a midlife crisis are known to buy cars and go on shopping sprees. I may or may not be considering adding this to my to do list but until then check out this sundress from Aritzia that comes in multiple colors it is AMAZING!
